Folk Art

Isn't this a wonderful painting? I found this at an auction this summer. I had no idea where to put it because it didn't look right by its self. Well dear hubby built this great shelf out of cedar and put a cedar board under it to hand all my kitchen primitives on. Well of course not all but there has never been a shelf made that would hold all of it. The train sets the whole picture off and wouldn't this little village be a wonderful place to live. I think I would like to live in the house with the paddle wheel. It is probally a boarding house for travelers getting off the train. There is always coffee and tea on and something sweet that is home baked. Of course you can always smell the fresh bread because it is served with every meal. You can sit on the front porch and watch the children in the plat yard and just walk across the street to go to church. Well that is my idea of what goes on in that village and I will leave you to think of your own possibilites.....................................

You sure have an active imagination, Debbie. I like that picture too, but I would never have thought all those things about each house in the village! Being an Aries, I lack that creative streak, but I appreciate it in other people!
